National Institute of Technology

Lahore, Pakistan

A learning experience unlike anything else available in Pakistan

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is the first and only American university in Pakistan and the only university in Pakistan that is powered by ASU. NIT is located in Lahore and will open in fall 2025 with two inaugural schools— the School of Management Sciences and the School of Data Sciences and Information Technology.

About National Institute of Technology

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is a student-centric university that prepares Pakistani and international students to compete with the best in the world by immersing them in a high-calibre American curriculum and learning experience powered by Arizona State University. Founded by two young entrepreneurs — Shahzeb Awan, a University of London–trained lawyer, and Jahanzeb Burana, a Harvard MBA with a decade in education and finance — NIT embraces local values and culture while achieving global academic excellence and forging strong industry linkages. The university focuses on shaping individuals who can thrive in the constantly evolving landscape of industries and global markets by being first-principles thinkers, self-learners, and self-starters.
