The W. P. Carey BS Business Data Analytics is a STEM-designated program emphasizing in organizational and technical competencies to implement data gathering, cleansing, integration and modeling tasks as well as data asset analysis for business applications. The program covers data warehousing, dimensional modeling, big data analytics methods and visualization tools and techniques, and it introduces topics such as data mining and predictive analytics.

Students enrolled at an ASU Cintana Alliance Network institution have the chance to start their courses at their home institution and transfer those credits* to finish their remaining years at ASU.

SQL, stored procedures and data warehouse architectures; data warehouse requirements definition, design and analysis; overview of the steps in building information-enabled business models; role of data warehousing in data mining and analytics.
Applications of machine learning, data and text mining for big data, Hadoop, cloud-based solutions, fundamentals of big data programming, social media and big data, NoSQL, GIS, business case studies.

Minimum transfer Grade Point Average (GPA): Transfer students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA and one of the following: 1160 (prior to March 2016) or 1230 SAT Reasoning (after March 2016) or 25 ACT score, or graduated in the top 8% of high school class, or have an overall high school GPA of 3.40 in ASU competency courses (scale is 4.00 = “A”).
Proof of English proficiency: 61 iBT TOEFL; 6.0 IELTS; PTE 53; Duolingo 95 or equivalent; Global Launch’s online English for Undergraduate Admission or full-time English Language Program (campus or online immersion).
