In the Bachelor of Science in economics – business, you’ll learn about the theoretical and empirical tools used in a wide range of professional contexts. Upon graduation, you’ll have the qualifications needed for competitive positions in banking and finance, general business or graduate work in business or policy.
You’ll study both microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, while developing your ability to work with applied statistical tools. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue electives that align with your interests, including international economics and the labor market.

Covers a broad range of concepts, theories and practices important for a basic understanding of the field of management with a special emphasis on leadership. Increases the students' understanding of and ability to apply contemporary management and leadership knowledge in both work and personal situations.
Expands on models covered in principles. Models consumer and producer choice, market structure and welfare.
Capstone course integrating several fields of economics. Draws topics from multiple research areas of wide interest such as growth and development, environmental, health, industrial organization, international, labor and public economics. Focuses on discussion, evaluation and presentation of economic concepts in written and verbal form.
The central skills you’ll build in the Bachelor of Science in economics can be applied to many areas throughout the modern economy. Once you earn your degree and explore the variety of industry-relevant electives, you’ll be qualified to pursue professional roles in banking and finance. You’ll also be prepared to apply to graduate programs in economics, business and law.

Minimum transfer Grade Point Average (GPA): Transfer students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA and one of the following: 1160 (prior to March 2016) or 1230 SAT Reasoning (after March 2016) or 25 ACT score, or graduated in the top 8% of high school class, or have an overall high school GPA of 3.40 in ASU competency courses (scale is 4.00 = “A”).
Proof of English proficiency: 61 iBT TOEFL; 6.0 IELTS; PTE 53; Duolingo 95 or equivalent; Global Launch’s online English for Undergraduate Admission or full-time English Language Program (campus or online immersion).
