Arizona State University’s online Master of Science in psychology is your gateway to understanding psychological theory and empirical research findings related to human behavior, cognition, emotion and attitudes. You’ll learn about the many roles filled by psychologists through a curriculum emphasizing cognitive, developmental, physiological and social psychology.

In this course, you'll focus on theory and research concerning interpersonal perception, decision making, attitude formation, group processes, social motivation and interaction processes.
In this course, you’ll acquire a working knowledge of the major theories, research methods and empirical findings within the rapidly growing field of cross-cultural psychology. Particular emphasis is placed on exploring the special utility and limitations of using social psychological science to understand mental health and real-world social behaviors across cultural contexts.
In this course, you'll be introduced to various aspects of the professional roles of psychology, as well as to the ethical standards of the profession.
Upon graduation, you may pursue nonprofit, private and public sector roles or additional graduate education. The deep understanding of human thought and behavior you develop is broadly applicable. Potential career paths include, but aren’t limited to:
